Learn more about Victor Hugo, the exiled French writer who made these islands famous in the late 1800s, at the Hauteville House. He spent 14 years of his life here and the house is extraordinarily well preserved.

- Explore La Valette Underground Military Museum, which is an old German Tunnel complex. This unique museum has a display of the island's military history, an aquarium and open-air bathing pools.
